BVC's Latest TwitterFic contest!

To celebrate the paperback release of Red River, fourth book in the Far Western Civil War series by P.G. Nagle, BVC is holding a TwitterFic contest October 6-8.

The task:  To write a complete story incorporating the contest theme in one tweet.

The theme:  Soldiers and Steamboats.

Stories will be judged on creative use of the theme and the medium.   

The prizes: 

First Place:  autographed copy of Red River and autographed copy of Galveston (FWCW series book 3).
Second Place:   autographed copy of Red River.

The judges:  Pati Nagle, Sarah Zettel and Jennifer Stevenson

The timeline:  The contest opens at 9:00 a.m. EST Tuesday October 6 and closes 9:00 p.m. EST Thursday October 8, 2009.

THE RULES:

1) Up to five entries per twitterer.
2) One tweet per entry.
3) All work must be original to the twitterer.
4) No obscenity. If you can't say it on network TV between the hours of 10:00 p.m.-12:00 p.m. you can't say it here.
5) No late entries will be considered.
6) No early entries will be considered.
7) Tweet your entry @bookviewcafe (type "@bookviewcafe" and a space, then your story, into your update box).  All entries must BEGIN with @bookviewcafe.  Therefore each entry may be a maximum of 126 characters long.

Members of Book View Cafe are not eligible to enter this contest.
